Welcome

I am a photographer, creator, designer, and an educator. It is many roles that work together providing a unique combination of skills and perspectives.

My background includes a variety of experiences in each of the areas, which has helped in developing a wide range of skills in creating visual imagery, problem-solving, and working with people. Most recently, I have enjoyed guiding others in finding their voice in design through teaching college level classes. Encouraging them to push new ideas, test their boundaries, develop high standards, and enjoy learning. I find that teaching students and guiding other designers have a great deal of overlap. Not to mention, the influence on my own abilities to develop new ideas and personal inspiration.

With over 20 years in graphic design and photography fields, I am able to provide many creative services from concept through final production. Primarily print work has dominated the experiences, but it also include some web, social media, and video experiences essential to today's design markets. My design and creation approach centers around a story for every piece.

Photography and visual story-telling are large parts of my images and art. Trying to either capture a moment in time, create a visual story through compositing, or practicing other media. I always look forward to opportunities to collaborate with other creative people.

 

In addition, I am also a Ph.D. student at the University of Houston working towards a degree in Curriculum and Instruction with my emphasis on art education. It is a chance to continue my own development in guiding others. So student can also be added to my list for now.
